Hi.
I would like to have some disappointment on the altrep managed by tc.
First of all if to switch between one another and the original there is something faster than the 'replace component'.

I created a sheet with that long tongue that should be folded by hand after assembly.
so I created a saveas otherp (they are under tc).
the structure of the altrep is identical to the original, so as if they were two separate copies.
if I change the original, do not change the other.
Is that how it should work or there should be something that keeps you identical to what I decide?

in the otherp you need to copy the original model in an associative way and to turn the xon shape modification functionality that can be traced, for example a change with the st of the corner.

when I save by name, I have 3 possibilities:
1)create new revision
2)create new item
3)create representation otherp

choosing the 3rd option, generates a duplicate and is not associative.
for example I have eliminated a hole and in the altrep there is still.

In the altrep should I delete everything and create a weve geometry link body?

is a default not to create this link and so you mean that the altrep is nothing but another file under the same itemrevision or is there anything else?

If you want to associate it, you must create it with the wgl or similar function (copy geometry to part by e.g.).
