Hello, everyone.
I have my problem.
I'm collaborating with a design studio that helps me develop some parts of a machine.
the problem is that when this study sends me their finished part (.iam), in opening the .iam file all the details (.iam; .ipt; content center) that constitute such a set are not found because they refer to the directory of the pc on which it was created. So I have to miss a lot of hours in recoiling the mencanti parts.
At this point I wonder if there is a system that can help me.

from explore resources, go to the .iam file that represents the main overall and, with the dx key, select pack & go.
opens a management window, follow the directions and copy the folder on your pc.
read the guide well to decide which options you prefer to apply.
synchronizing files from one pc to another is a trivial operation but only if governments well, if you do not pay attention risk despair.

it is convenient that your supplier will replicate exactly your folder structure and subfolders. I don't know inventor but if I do this and it works pretty well!

This would be a wise thing but it implies that there is an entity or person who takes care of this with knowledge.
If it has not already been taken into account, before it has been developed, the commission is over.
Actually it is not difficult, but you can not do it remotely, via messages.
pack & go eliminates these problems.
I also think that you can use it backwards and explain.
You could pack & go of your project (what you're dealing with now) leaving the complete folder structure (not "copy on single path ") so that your customer finds the exact structure you have in your office.
it is not necessary that you give the full directories, only the structure and the project file that is generated at the act of the pack & go.
It is not said that it all works at the first shot but you go very close.
