parameterization and variable parts related to the pdm management

I make a premise I always used solidworks like cad 3d but without a management since I was doing a job always fine to myself.
now we are designing a machine that according to customer request can change
here begins the dilemma I do everything bovinamente or there is a way to tell of the values to the management and automatically parameterizes the drawings and relative puts at the table?
This was something that with the cad 2d was made by inserting a quota text that the management compiled with the due changes and made a table with the changed values.
now you are deciding to leave the 2d but you have to solve this problem

so I don't think there's a unique answer. you can do so many things, but it depends on the machine and the level of customization. you can manage things with the management or an excell file, or you can do so many axiemi macros and you change them. In any case, the boards must recheck them because they move quotas, notes etc. etc. I find myself well doing axioms that are commanded on one side. i.e. I start a set, a fixed part with plans and geometries that makes me as a skeleton and then all the other parts to follow will support this. when I have to change something, I only intervene (or almost) on the skeleton part.
