I work in the field of the tightenings, and I had the same needs.I opted for a simple solution, which maybe will twist the nose to many.
I created a prt. called dim.foro, which corresponds to base x height of the hole in question, consisting of a simple curve.
this prt in I assembled it in an assembly called tightening. Below all the components are linked to this simple "father" curve through an import feature inserted to each prt.
Clearly you create an addiction but it is the best and fastest way (according to my little experience) to create parts that must depend on a base and height.
In my case I have many components.traversi,montanti,spine,vita,false frame, masonry.. .
I feel good because with a simple change of the curve, everything regenerates accordingly.
