Good morning, everyone!

I have "sons" obtained from a part family (in nx4). part family was subsequently erased. I recreated the part family in the father with the same variables but I can't make the children regenerate because the software realizes that the origin is different.
Does anyone know if there is a way to reconnect the "sons" to the new Fr.f.?

Thank you.

I don't know if you can reconnect your children....but let's say that the big one you've already made by recreating the part family (I think you mean you've "repopulated" the electronic sheet) what you can do is recreate your children and then replace the components in the axieme by means of an "open component as" because being children of a part family they all have the same uid (unic identify number) that is necessary condition to be able to make the change. if in addition to the electronic sheet you have also redesigned the parent object (also called template) then you have to redefine ("define" and "verify" that you find under the menu of assemblies) also the "mating condition" as the names of the faces you used for mating.... is not an optimal solution. . .especially if part family was numerous

as team3d rightly says is a question of both uid and face names for mating conditions.

I think of a possible escamotage.
ascertained that uid is the same on the child parts, nothing forbids me to take just a child part and repopulate the excel table inside this file.
This allows me to turn my son into a father, with the commands that suggested you a verifiable team and possibly I create the children I need and at this point you should have no problem replacing the old son "orphan" with the new one.

It is complicated but I hope to have been sufficiently clear.

the eleptic sheet had been deleted.
I solved this way:
1) I deleted files of the "sons"
2) I have reconstructed in the father the electronic sheet of the part family identical to the previous
3) I have regenerated children with the same names
4) I opened the axieme with the option "do not load the components"
5) I checked "on" components in the axieme browser
6) I saved

Unfortunately if the eletronic sheet is complex can be problematic to reconstruct it
