the generation of a tool path (pure and simple) consists in the choice of a (fnt) or more strategies (sgr - sfn -fnt - rip - for) to obtain the particular offender, calculation of the same (direct or with nc-external), and possibly simulation of the nc obtained to clear the field from any doubt on the goodness of the achieved result.

the tool path however in turn depends on the material you are working, the shape of the mold to get, the tool machine you need to use and then the tools and spindles you have available and how long you have to finish the job, not least the hardware you use on.
