Hello, everyone. I'd need a little "largo." we must put practically ex novo proe and pdmlink in the company where I work as technical manager. Currently they use inventor but with serious problems especially for the real possibility of parameterizing axioms and subaxis. my question is: how to better insert pdmlink? have suggestions and/or tips to start with the right foot? I thought I would immediately establish internal parameters to each part and then use them to manage the distinct bases that gradually form. we must "weight" from parametric projects that will then be modified and restructured according to the new orders. For example, I have to make a load ribbon, a hopper, an operating machine that is either standard or customized for some parts. of all I care to "reflect" the commission even if the pieces do not change as code.
another important thing: do you have experience on linking with ad hoc pumpkin software (with inqury type sql?). I hope I've been clear. Thank you

you have to insert means you have already bought pdmlink and proe?
Did you know that there was also the wgm for inventor, were you at least told?
on the fact of the internal parameters is fine, you can create as many as you want within the start part of the proe and also map in pdmlink the mandatory and optional fields including the committed field .
Usually there are precise metrics to be respected to ensure that everything works as a rule of art and here we meet the regulations.
It is also very important to define the life cycle and possibly the management of rdms and assignments, to define working groups, user permissions, etc., etc.

I am pushing proe because I think it much more stable and mature especially for uin use pushed of the parametrizz. What I would like to know is:
1) is it possible to easily rename the parts and when connected, including the parameters before check in?
2) is the order managed keeping the parameters and the original codes?
3) for the shopping office how would you configure the location?
4) for the warehouse?
5) you can have feedback between the purchasing department (such as "not available, off-production, costs too etc.) and the warehouse (check availability, new item, etc.)

If you have news and/or examples to give me you would do me a great favor. I have to start designing the flow layout, but I am still at the old intralink (with all the proes and cons he had)

in pdmlink there are no particular problems, even with massive modifications or single to the wtpart (windchill technology part), the problem semmai can be only in pro/e, at that point you have to lean on modelcheck with batch procedures, here opens a sublime world, we go to wedding.:smile:

now we go to configure it heavily.
