My problem reminds a little of the discussion a few years ago of the hole in the loft, but it's not exactly the same thing. I'll explain.
- in the present state the wall is washed by a door of garage
- in project the authorized door is demolished
- in its place is inserted a window door closer and higher, so the width of the compartment is reduced.
- no problem for comparison, red and yellow in order
- on the current state plant, however, I see the shape of the filling wall that will be realized in project to reduce the compartment and that I had to hide with a masking.
- the shape of the old hole is seen on the design prospectus
the steps are correct.
I keep looking for the causes of error.

the two walls are not of the same type (structural/non structural)

certainly if I had demolished and rebuilt the wall with a different type, but I limited myself to demolishing the lock and inserting a new one, always in the same wall. after demolishing the lock I do not "hinder" the hole with another wall because in reality the hole is not there, therefore, in practice, it is always the same wall support.
