hello to all unfortunately I am not experienced of patran and fem analysis and neccessito of some aids.

I modeled in catia a hexagonal plate that will have to be placed in vertical position and will have to be supported by two supports (like an advertising poster).
the hexagonal plate will be meshata with elem shape: tria 3
now for the two supports that will be bolted to the plate I would like to use two beams, how should I proceed?
Do I have to create two elements from a mesh knot on the plate?
How do we proceed?

Thank you in advance.

Hi.
In fact, you may proceed in different ways, depending on what you have to see. two alternatives could be
- connect the end of the two rods into a number of plate points in the area of bolts with rigid elements (rbe3)
- molding individual bolts

Thanks for the answer.
I actually managed to solve the problem by adopting the first of the two solutions that you proposed to me or connecting the first knot of the two rods to two knots of the plate mesh and creating and binding on the ground the other two knots outside the plate.

Thank you very much for the answer.:finger:
