good day, I wanted to know if someone is able to explain how to connect an accessory to the outer surface of a pipe.

I created the object and defined it as an accessory family.
I uploaded the family into the project and installed it on the pipe surface.

the result is not the one desired, as if I change the inclination of the pipe, the object does not undergo any modification.
besides this fact, it does not seem connected but simply put there. :frown:

the family of the accessory must be nested (inserted) in the family of the pipe.
or: open the family of the pipe (family editor) and load the accessory. saves the new family, a new name
then load everything in the project, and go to replace the previous family inserted.
attention to the constraints of families: if you set bad in nesting, in the project can be reported errors ....

solution 2
if the new family of accessories, create it as a family on host surface (checks well if possible) once loaded into the project, you should automatically hook up to a "surface" (any), or you can change (I believe...) the reference host on the surface of the tube
