If you project on the horizontal plane the curve of your sweep trajectory, then you make a full-height supestrusion of this projected and finally thicken,
It makes you the flat model.
probably, it dulls the thickening on thesupsweep or the spinline.
then make only the two high and low trajectories of your band, cut us the surface and thicken later.
