plotter settings

Good morning!
are struggling with the layout of the plotter and printer and I'm trying to set the ''penne.pnt' file.
I read a couple of arguments about it, but I didn't find what I was looking for, and I mean, I'm having trouble with the restraining style of hidden lines, axes and cutting lines section, while with the thicknesses I'm fine!
What do I need to edit in my file to get what I want?
''color 0.0 0.0''' is ''pattern'' what do they indicate?

the ''penne.pnt' file is this:

color 0.0 0.0 0.0 indicates the amount of red, green and blue (red, green, blue).

while pattern indicates the lengths of lines and spaces that define a dash.

for example if you want the pen 8 molds with thickness 0.01 cm, red color and with the stroke and point write:
pen 8 thikness 0.01 cm; color 1.0 0.0 0.0; pattern 9.0 2.0 2.5 2.0as you see the pattern is set in such a way that the dash is constituted by a first stretch lungho 9 mm, a 2 mm long space, a 2.5 long stretch and a last long space 2.0.

after a lost day behind sti septaggi there is I made it understand logic, thanks also to you. I have done more prints today than in 3 years of work :biggrin:
I would have a couple of questions on the fly if possible. . .
1. Does this also apply to texts or only for geometrical entities? ?
2.I was thinking of making 2 or more separate files for settings, example, one for direct plotting and the other for export in pdf?
Would you give me some advice?

also applies to texts.
the texts are printed by pen 8 if in the config.pro you set the option:use_8_plotter_pens yesand if in the design options you set line_style_standard su std_iso.

otherwise the text is printed by pen 2, the same as quotas, axes and sampling.

to answer your second question you can make more rows of pens and use them as more convenient.

Hello, sir.
Given that the setting is almost complete and I like it a lot, there are some things I want to understand why they don't come back.
1.How come in quotas and texts, the color of numbers is blue, and if I go to edit the quota/text(doing dx-propriety' key), is selected on yellow?
If I, at the quota, instead of blue, wanted to assign a different color (green example) always keeping the lines of the yellow quota, could I do it?
2.the ''pen_table_file' settling, is it for both plotting and exporting in pdf?
3. last thing, in my penne.pnt file, I assigned a 4mm dash to the hidden lines (pattern 4.0 2.0).
I noticed that when plotted on a sheet a0, everything ok, the dimensions are accurate....when mold per though on a3 or a4, it seems almost that the deduction is rented proportionally to the sheet... is it really like this or is there a logic to this?

for the moment I answer only to your second question, for the other you have to be patient because at the moment I can not use pro-e on the computer from which I write and I need to make verifications.
to use the pen file also for pdf you must set the option of the config.pro pdf_use_pen_table.

I answer the other questions:
1. Yes, if you go on the properties of the quotas the color turns out to be that relative to the quotas themselves, actually if on the options of the imposed drawing line_style_standard su std_iso text is handled separately, associated with pen 8 and color name is edge_highlite_color.
3. the dash should always be the same any utlizzi format. Of course if you print an a0 on a3 he will scale it to you.

..it's not really like that, I did all the tests of the world a0 on a0 a3 on a3 a4 on a4 but it's like it's being proportioned somehow... .
bo' I really don't understand the logic of what is (although actually I'm also fine with something like that, it was just to understand)!

you simply do the installation above the previous one. the installation process recognizes an old build and updates it.

as color system use dafault.

if from a drawing export in pdf, while popping the option uses pen files, I always get the same result. that is always brown axes, and always blue lines. I mean, like I didn't have a pnt file.

the option is: pdf_use_pentable, the value set it on yesthe topic has been treated several times, use the search function before posting the questions.

I felt bad. pdf was just an example because that variable already set it on yes. I thought there was a general parameter in which to indicate the directory where the pnt file is located.

the option is pen_table_file and the value is the full path of the file
(e.g. c:\ archive_cad\00000_configuration\pentable.pnt)
