position closed spline on cone trunk surface

I have a tilted circular surface, practically a cone trunk, say a conified tube.

I have to "force" this surface with closed shapes created by spline (holes that instead of being round are deformed), on all its circumference.

I thought I would create the splines, then distribute them all over the surface for the whole height of my tube (hot and wide, imagine a bucket), after which I extrude the spline surfaces and cut them from the cylindrical surface of my tube.

how do you distribute the splines on the surface before extruding them?

on the perspective view:

you set the surface, on which you have to draw and disconnect the splines, as work plan with the _cplane option _object command.

with the command _plan the view shows `normal` to the superfice, and then you can draw the splines and distribute them to your pleasure.

When you extrude them will be normal at that work plan.

No, I may have been wrong.
the surface to be drilled was almost vertical, not the upper plane of the cone trunk (my cone trunk does not have the two bases being a tube).

I attach an img that makes the idea.http://www.ammos.it/web08/img1/lampmare.jpgHowever I managed to do so:
design the solid by setting the measurements of massin.
I explode to eliminate all the surfaces I don't need.
then command "crea curve uv"
I have a flat rectangle, in practice my open and flat cylinder, on which I draw my splines.
then reverse operation: "Applicates curves uv" that basically envelops me my rectangle floor on my 3d superifice.

the game is done, simple but if you do not know how to do it it is hard to go to find it.

Thank you.
