possibility of subdividing a catpart into multiple catparts?

Good morning to the whole community cad3d,
I ask all of you if there is a chance to dissect a catpart in multiple catparts.
I have the problem: I am designing a sheet profile (composed of 5 sections) and I would be useful to create the entire profile (catpart) and then dissect it in 5 different sections (catpart of a single catproduct). in this way design times would fall.

1) I don't know if it's always called this, but where I worked it was called "master model model" . You have a single part where you have all the finished body, then you do a "publishing" for each body, and in every new part copy with link its body. it has its qualities and its limits . at this point in the product you can only "assemble".
