Hello, everyone!
I'm a mechanical engineering student at the University of Trieste, these days at work with a drawing examination of machines! Unfortunately my centennial professors have never used anything but pencil and team to draw and so I am not very prepared on cad, subject though that I am interested in starting to follow and deepen.
I am sure to find great tips in this forum!

Hello everyone, I am a mechanical engineering student at the University of Modena. Finally after two years of theory and theory, here is that in the third year we begin to enter practical optics. for this I decided to enroll in this forum: to share knowledge but also to have the opportunity to confront me with other students of other universities and to increase my, ahimè, miserable knowledge about cad 3d.

welcome guys (for some I answer "lightly" late), you are in the right place to deepen your knowledge.

Hello, everyone.
are fabio, student graduating in mechanical engineering to curds.
compliments to the staff for the site and organization. :finger:

hi are marco, graduating (triennial) in mechanical engineering of the ii engineering faculty of the bari polytechnic (sede taranto). I recently asked for the thesis on the maximum size of a kaplan turbine and surely this forum will help me, having to draw with autocad 3d the wing profile of the impeller of this turbine.

Good morning, I'm Luca, a mechatronics student of thirty. I modeled an arm of an excvator with classic ansys (command line) using as an element for the boxed shell63 finding a particularly stressed area. I then performed a submodeling modeling the particular by extruding areas and applying solid45 type elements. But I can't connect the areas that form after extrusion to simulate welds, it doesn't find lines in common, nor can it see intersection with the aine command. Is there a simple method to model welding between two sheets?
Thank you so much!

Hello everyone,
My name is daniele and I am a mechanical engineering student, at the second year precisely

hi to everyone, I'm audinal stefano and I'm a mechanical engineering student at 3rd year. I can use quite well autocad and solidworks, a little less solidedge. I've been seeing this forum for a while and I've always liked it, I finally decided to sign up :) I hope it can help/find help when needed

Good morning, everyone! I am a mechanical engineering student at the 3rd year. I have basic knowledge of rhinoceros and solid edge, with purely didactic experiences.

Good morning to all, my name is maximum emi enrolled today, now it is 20 years that I work as a designer of greenhouses and I have always worked with mac using drawing programs in 2d (vellum, pourcad, and today graphite). Now I wanted to learn how to draw in 3d and who better than you can give me advice on which program to use? Thank you for your cooperation.
ps. If you have questions to ask me to better understand what my needs may be, they are at your disposal

Hello, everyone. I joined the forum yesterday. I'm a mechanical engineering student at the third year. for now I'm in pairs with the exams and with pretty good votes. However I am a little lazy and with some difficulty of concentration, but usually quite determined and curious. I enrolled in this forum mainly to find useful information and insights on topics related to the degree program in mechanics, which often professors forget to give or on which they often fly over. on my part, instead, I do not think I can give a great contribution as my knowledge is still relatively restricted and rather academic. in any case when I can do it well.
in conclusion I apologize to the community for my conduct yesterday, since in the hurry I left reading of the councils and the regulation and with my first posts I contravened to 2 or 3 rules. at the same time I thank those who have- very kindly I have to say- answered and provided the appropriate indications: I have already read what is indicated and will no longer make the same mistakes.

a greeting and a "good work" to all.

welcome losbor1 and compliments for the complete and well articulated presentation and argued.
you are certainly in the right place to find what you are looking for, and you can be sure that you will find competent and well-disposed people to answer your possible questions.
Don't worry if for the moment you feel like you can't contribute to this community, I'm sure it's not like this; you will see that the opportunities to make your contribution will not fail.

hi and good attendance.

Good morning to all my name is sergius and I am a mechanical engineering student. I come from a scientific high school education and this has brought so far to the university many advantages, such as rigour in basic subjects more purely mathematical and physical... and also many disadvantages, one on all the technical drawing, which I have always brought behind, you want for my inability you want for incompetence of the people who had to teach me, certainly not for snobbism. Even the technical drawing examination at the university has not changed this recurring situation, however I have imposed that I cannot escape, so I intend to make a decisive qualitative leap in learning in the last useful occasion at the didactic level, before paying its consequences in the working field. I am currently following a course of cad 3d where it is used as specific software caia v5 and I learn to prepare the exam. Well then if the right people have not come to me so far I will go looking for them and I think there is no better place than this forum apparently from the discussions of my fellow students and master designers. I will put all the devotion and humility possible, I hope those who will meet me in my small and trivial everyday doubts the patience and stubbornness of those who know that it carries out, probably, the most beautiful work of the world.

this is a presentation as you must! :finger:
This is really the right place to find what you are looking for and, since you have approached yourself in the "right" way, I'm sure you will be able to formulate your requests correctly, thus obtaining clear and exhaustive answers.
hi and good attendance.

Meet me. are eugenio, enrolled in mechanical ing of pisa. currently at 2 year. I just miss drawing of the first year. I use as cad cocreate, but just step drawing I will learn solidworks that seems a lot better, just because it keeps the story of what we did.

I hope to give and receive suggestions from this forum. good work at everything

hello to all, my name is emanuele and I have been enrolled for a long time (at least a year I believe) even if I had never written yet. I am a second year student at the second university of roma (tor vergata) with a semester with bows (science of constructions, mechanics applied to machines and metallurgy) I need help that I hope you can give me and that I will ask in the appropriate topic. If I could be useful, I will certainly not be back if I read a lot from a year to this part I do not think I can add much to your knowledge :) a greeting to all

hello to all, I am a student in the second year of mechanical engineering at the university of bologna, I have long happened on this forum, I was very useful both for my studies and for my personal curiosity in the matter of mechanics and technical design.. tonight I finally joined, I hope to continue to find valuable help from the staff and other users, as well as being able to make my contribution to the growth of the forum and its contents
