preview thumbnail display width

I wonder why as in the image attached the preview of the dwg does not fill the whole box and remains 1 empty portion always? I set the preview resolution to 1920, but I also noticed that if I put it to 512 it doesn't change much the image is always scratched.
I have autocad mechanical 2013.

It seems obvious that it fills the wider space. in this case the height.
If you had the two sided cartilages instead of overlapping you would have filled the width and would probably remain two bands above and below

The curious thing I found out is that:

now save the drawings in version cad mech 2011 and if I drag as you say to the left the division bar will affect me the preview and obvious lean.
the image always has a "hole " below

if except in 2013 it hits the preview but if then as you say I drag the division bar no longer enlarges the preview

to me it seems big enough to understand what design it is. you can't expect to see them as if they were open in autocad
there are probably programs that allow you to have better previews.
I never tried it but there is this that does not require installation ultra explorer

autocad inserts a preview in the file (which is what you see).
This preview, for reasons of file size is obviously risicata, so you can put the resolution you want, if the pixels are not there in departure, you will never see them.
If you want, look in acad settings, and see that you can also delete this preview, in which case the preview in explores resources you will not see it just more

I imagine that you tried to answer only yes, but it was not accepted because minimum 3 words are required.
I point out that this is not a hel desk where you solved your problem this discussion will no longer serve any part of it.
is a forum where a user could happen in this discussion and find out that you can set the preview of the preview. but where in options? in which of the 17 tabs tens of under mechanical options should you look for?
you do not need to make a 200-line treaty, but you give complete information and in the best possible way

in Rome they would say "de coccio".
If you have a 256 pixel wide thumbnail inside the file, you can also set the 4k monitor resolution, always 256 pixels you will see.
set the resolution to 1920? at the most you will have a 1920/256 wide square for each pixel, you certainly can't recreate pixels that aren't there...
