But why don't you save in dwf?
I do so, the dwf is practically the pdf of the autodesk for mechanical drawings, you can save with this format both the 2d and the 3d. downloading a very small free software (dwf viewer or better the design review) you can print from any device, and in addition you can take measures and other directly from the software.
