Good morning, everyone.
I'm new to the forum, it's the first year I use autocad and I'm still at "first weapons." the version (students) I use for university is 2012 in Italian.

in these days I am doing rescue tests in scale and conversion in pdf and a big problem has arisen that I just can't understand and solve.
below I will list point by point my actions (I want to do something very simple: a square).

1) I go up Unit and under the voice "Input scale" meters
2) clicco su rectangle e inserisco @20,203) if I do not expose the newly created figure is a square di 20metri x 20metri4) I go up file, so printing press. here, as a printer, select "dwg to pdf". le "sheet size" sleep iso a4.
5) since the work area is immense, under "area da sampare" window window window, going to frame just that little square I care about
6) finally, as my square should be size 20m x 20m, too big for my sheet a4, I move on "print scale" selecting 1:1007) drawing should therefore become 20cm x 20cm. instead if I try to (print or) make a preview of print the writing "the annotation scale is not equal to the print scale. continue?". if I click on continue the preview shows me a blank document, white page.

How to solve?

thanks in advance!

Wrong. the unit you specify only serves in the case of inserting blocks and xrif. your rectangle is 20x20 u.c. (current unit)

4) I go up file, so printing press. here, as a printer, select "dwg to pdf". le "sheet size" sleep iso a4.

It is not an empty document, simply the 20x20 square is printed so small that you do not see. you are practically printing in scale 1:100.000

thank you very much for the answers.! and then apologize, to save a 1:100 scale document how do I do?
I'm really "ignorant about it," I know. :
