Bye to all,
I have to model a biological structure of which I have images from the magnetic resonance.
with a 3d reconstruction sw I can get a stl file, but once I have the file I do?
How can I change it?
exists the possibility of converting it into prt, or something similar editable with pro-e?

Thank you very much.
Andrea

you must have the rex module (reverse engineering extension).
with that you can stop holes, cut with planes, decimate or refine the stl.
then models the surfaces based on the sl and solidifices.

thanks maxopus,
I don't have rex, do you know if there are free sw that do to my case?
with the 3d reconstruction sw I can save in the formats:
immagineufm.jpg
Oppure:
immagine2lu.jpg
You think that by saving in a different format, can I be more easily able to get what I need?

Hi.
Andrea

It is always a triangular data and not a solid data or surfaces.
If you want to get a solid you must necessarily switch from reverse engineering.
I don't know if there is such a free software.

if the model is not too heavy,
you can create an assembly, mount the model #.stl,
then saved as "shrinkwrap" with "faced solid"

Hi.
hinges

Since I have n transverse images of the component, could I do n sketches on n spaced floors of the real distance and then join everything is a nice sweep blend?
I did a random sketching attempt:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7462647/concept.prt.2but to do it extremely precise, how can I sketch a spiline that follows a jpg image?

I don't know if I explained... I would like to:
- "Recalcare" my images to make sketches
- align all sketches between them on different planes
- combine everything with a sweep blend

Is it possible?
What do you recommend?
What are the steps to do?

Hi.
Andrea
