Hi, I'll reopen this thread since I have the same problem. Suddenly with autocad lt 2012 if you squirt on the command open the program goes in tilt and nail... I have read the various resolutions but I cannot solve the problem. I have also followed other resolutions posted on the web but nothing. I use w10. do you have any update on the problem to solve the case??
Thank you.

Unfortunately I have no news, in the sense that since I solved, the problem has no longer been presented

I entered the installation cd and did repair and everything returned normal.
Thanks anyway.
greetings

fantastic windows updates (without prior authorization) are a manna from the sky...certo. . .

such a manna from the sky, which create a myriad of problems to every PC owner...

...when they say "fidelize" customers. . ! ! !

Well... now that you've been trusted, buy the latest generation pc!

If you want to work, I mean. :)

and hope that in 2 years, still stay well!

other 1800 eur :)

to me they practically sent in "pappa" the pc with the installation without my consent of win10 ...I lost 1 day to return to put me in the initial condition of being able to take advantage of my pc.
(and fortunately I managed it alone)

and I'm talking about a pc with good performance bought at the end of 2014

in fact the original problem of the discussion depended on the update of dropbox.
I used autocad lt2010 with win10 and apart from a decrease of perfomance I had no problems whatsoever, neither crashes, nor strange blocks

Good morning to all, I'll resume the discussion. because today I have the same problem of blow and I am stuck;
premise I use winxp without online updates
not use dropbox
I tried to reinstall and correct from cd but it did not serve
I tried to disable the antivirus
I tried the flag system in options
is clearly some internal conflict but I cannot find the solution

invece di aprire i file da autocac li apr da explorer oppur sempre da explorer fai drag & drop in autocad

2 commands do not work
_open and "save by name"
save and just works
so I can actually work hard

Also trying a little everything I just found that:
if I make an "import" from pdf for example
then everything back to working open, close etc. until the program restarts
...mysteries of computer science

after launched autocad and closed opening design tries to open a drawing by dragging the file from explorer and see behavior

I can do it, it's like clicking directly on the file and "open with"
the program remains however planned on the open and saveconnome

as I have already written before I have solved reinstalling the program and the problem has no longer been seen. . .

It was an attempt. I thought maybe the model that's loaded at the opening was corrupt.
However the opening is easily circumvented using the explorer (which is open with o drag&drop); the roman remains the save by name only by launching the command line I imagine

write the part in italics autocad crash save as site:forums.autodesk.com in a search engine maybe find something

in the recovery points I have an update on Monday:
windows xp wdf01009
He's probably guilty.
However it is not an update of windows because it is not activated, I read that it is of avast, possible?

I can't restore the previous version naturally. . .
