Good morning, with catia in gsa.... static analysis
designed a 1000mm long steel unp 220 beam and applied a force at one end (on plate100x100 about to have a single load point) and of course
"Inquiring" the opposite profile, why, starting from 1 insignificant newton, do I still have push-ups on the piece? It's not real.

I do not use nor know catia and gsa but I suspect that the result is different from what you expect because maybe the software puts into account, automatically, also the weight of the item.

Hello morning5555.
according to me the bending is due to the fact that for that kind of section the cutting center does not coincide with the baricentro, then it tends to flex (I made an indicative design "the section tends to rotate ")

It is only my interpretation, speaking theoretically and without knowing the program :d
