problem inserting images with autocad lt 2007

I should like to thank all the Members of this House for the usefulness of the forum and I apologize if this type of discussion has already been dealt with.
I tell you the problem: After reinstalling autocad lt 2007 I can no longer upload images as external references. Basically when I go to open the external references window in the link menu I no longer find "image connection" but only "dwg connection" or "dwf connection".
Does anyone know how to solve this kind of problem?

Why were you able to insert the images first with autocad lt? ? ?
Are you sure? ? ?
look that thelt, I don't know the latest version, doesn't allow the insertion of images. You obviously had some external tools installed.

I assure you that in the curtain of the menu "connect..." I had dwg, dwf and image, and it was the same lt 2007 I currently use!
Afterwards, moving cause of the office, I had to reinstall the program on the same machine (not without a problem I admit) and unfortunately I no longer find this function. In fact, I checked on my colleague's machine, with the same program installed, and you don't have this function.
but these tools you talk about in what are they? Is it possible to recover them somehow?

raster image support was added only since 2009.
Is it not that you were simply inserting pictures like ole objects or simply copying/pasteing?

I am very sure that I used this command...from the menu insert-> external references by clicking on the first icon on the top left to connect dwg, dwf, and pictures, so much so that in the list of the window appeared the image name with the colored "square" icon.
I can assure you that the program is an autocad lt 2007 (the same as I then reinstalled), also because in the office we only have that.
