problem integration quotas

I tried to find, but I didn't find anything about it, my problem is this: when I put on the table the drawings I have enormous difficulties to select the right points to quote, of the type I have to try 3 or 4 times to be able to get to the program a point, line or whatever it is; so much that sometimes I reassign myself and simply draw a point where I want the quota and use that to quote.

Is there any option to check that can fix is what?

here in the office we use sw2011 64bit, my colleagues have always used this and find normal is what, I coming from a few years of solid edge I find absolutely unacceptable having to waste time and have difficulty to put a quota (in a professional technical drawing program is just the colmo).

Do you have any advice?

It is absolutely not normal, you certainly have incorrect settings. for example is dynamic highlighting from graphic view in options enabled?
