Hello everyone
I wanted to know how it's better to handle flexible subaxis
I use vault. My problem is this:

My project consists of a few dozen more or less complex subaxes and I need some of them to be made flexible because they have to adapt to the races of the machine (the tool).

every time I open from the vault the general axieme the vault browser signals red also the flexible subaxis even if I have not modified anything so every time I work on the machine I just open it that it also touches me to extract all subaxis and save them and store them growing in dismix with versions....col pb then that the tables are never updated....

Does anyone have an experience similar to my ? how do you manage flexible subaxis?

and try to make detail levels on the main axieme? ? .will be laborious but at least you have everything on the main axieme

use vault and sometimes flexible assemblies, I do not have this problem. I usually create a positional view below that makes my movement free, then in the main axieme I create a positional view that allows me to move it as I want.
in other cases (typically hinges) I only flexible the subaxieme in the browser of the assieme father. Keep in mind that if you save the subaxieme while it is in a different position from the original you have a misalignment with what is in vault.
to give a more precise explanation I would at least need to see an axieme to understand the movements and complexity.

ps. I forgot if you have any activity within one of these sub-assemblies, you have no escape, e.g. the flexible pipes if they change will be immediately recognized as "new version", if a component changes also the father and way of this step, you will have avalanches of green and red...

Thanks stiky I've done as you say from the younger son to the older but after a while you don't understand anything anymore and sometimes even inventor goes into the mad with the flexible...

But... I design machine tools and flexibility (ball screws, roller linear guides) I need to find the races without having to measure the position of the single components. .

but excuse for machine tools don't you really want to use levels of detail? ? besides if you put 2011 the range option in the constraints has been added so you can set in which range bind the piece and then let it free to move without making it flexible.
