Hello everyone, I'm an engineering student. I do not know exactly if it is the right section where to publish my doubt.
for the examination of construction of machines it is necessary to carry a project realized with solidworks and to make the relative masses in the table to show the constructive solutions adopted. I have a doubt in the table and I would like to entrust myself to someone more experienced: to show the details of the whole I made detailed views with the appropriate command and then I made the view in section of the various details and not of the whole. I would like to know if this is right or I should do the opposite or perform various sections of the whole axieme and then make a detailed view of the sections.

is indifferent because the design is clear and the sections and details easily identifiable.
Of course, making a section, perhaps bulky, with the only purpose of extracting a few details is counterproductive.
