Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum, I signed up a few months ago and downloaded some very useful lisp.
I have a huge problem with an equally huge thesis file.
It's a 2d good 216 mb, you got 216 mb. is a complete cartography of Sicily, from Mexican to taormina, including mountain areas. the file is divided into blocks, for some parts, for others not, as I think it was joined by xrefs previously created by the sitr of the Sicilian region.
Now I can't find single files and unfortunately I need the whole area. the file has many layers divided by categories
a001,002,003...ecc (fasting)
....
b001, 002, 003 (ecc)
there are about ten subcategories per letter coming to letter v.
By eliminating the sampling (V) I remain all the others.
Now, perhaps because of my excessive laziness, or my excessive anxiety of having to reopen this cursed file, I would not want to erase these layers because I already find myself a complete analysis that I should not do on site, and, being a thesis in transport and infrastructure, as well as urban regeneration (two arguments therefore) I should not seek ruins, and/or particular types of buildings and/or infrastructure because already reported. I should not look for aqueducts, pipelines, etc., because they are all properly divided.
but we are there, the file weighs 200mega, autocad crashes and I can't do anything.
I tell you what I tried to do but I messed up even more so I came back to the original unit version:
- I had divided the xref file but this involves a double problem: the hundreds of layers that make up the single file "replicate" in the xrefs and so if I have to intervene on the analysis of the railway, I have to change every time all the xrefs that contain it, and this is true for any analysis.
if I have to turn off the level curves and leave visible the edited I have to do it for every xref.
this in addition to slowing down the job does not even make it easy in the management because I have to keep too many layers under controlal from 100 you pass to 1000, and ok, elbow oil, but I feel really lost.
I also tried with _purge but the whole file is not deleteable.
useless tell you that trying to copy and paste the file into a new window is impossible, even with 16gb of ram, 1.5gb of video card and an i7 processor autocad crashes irremediably and crashes.
I apologize if I have wrong section, and I already know that there are similar threads, I have already read them and tried every indication already described.
I need a magician, please help me. It's been since October that I've been keeping every kind of road. in the initial works I got away with graphics via google earth. But now I need a .dwg where he can start making sections, and so on.
that some holy soul gives me a hand because I really tried them all.
