use inventor 2010 for mechanical design; I created a roller transmission with chain generator (projection/transmission/ roller chain).
chain 12b-1, toothed wheel z=25 (on tree), flat tendicatena (on tree); even or odd chain links. entire shafts 1490 mm.
because if I admit a transmission ratio "1" (which corresponds in this case to a ø140) in the flat tendicatena, I cannot insert the chain as solid but only as a sketch?
I have made several tests, and I see that if increase (or reddish) the diameter of the flat tendicatena of at least 2 mm. (138 or 142) I can create the chain as solid, otherwise not.
Am I wrong or is the behavior of inventor right?
