problem with star ccm+

Hello, everyone. .

I have two problems to undergo with star-ccm+ (32) 4.04.011:

1)In my laptop with windows 7 to 64 bit I have a problem to make the program go, it works correctly but it is very slow in running the commands, in opening the blinds, etc..
Does anyone know what the problem can be?

2)I had to import a .igs file (or .stp) from solid v5 catia, but when the amount only creates me surfaces. How do I import solids?

file ----> new simulation ---> ok

then file ---> import surface mesh (check the assembly or saved part in *.igs format) ---> create new part ---> ok
