good day to all cat users.
I work with pro/engineer wildfire 5 and I have a problem on file steps of catia5 v19.
the file is an assembly in step203 when the amount in pro/and the file is not usually.
if I'm not mistaken the step ap203 file is a surface file instead solid 214.
the big problem is that all surfaces are not united, I thought it was a problem of pro/engineer but instead I tried to import it with ug and solidworks but the problem remains.
a few years ago a cat user explained to me that to export a clean and solid step or iges file from an assembly it was necessary to create a new assembly copy the solid components from the original assembly and paste them into the new, at this point export the step ap214 iges or catpart.
I wanted to know from you that you use cat if the procedure is true and if for the type of problem I have of this file and valid the procedure I wrote to you, so I can tell the customer the procedure to export decent files.
thanks to all
