problems with export in format.stl

hi, during the conversion to .stl creo format gives me the error "impossible to triangulate the part ....the output is interrupted".
Since I do not know a way, in I create 2, to identify the area that has triangular problems (in fact nothing is highlighted) begins the odyssey to spulciate between the features.
In the end I find that the problem is due to rays that neither modifying its value or order I can solve.
Does anyone know how to solve this? and in case of how to diagnose (in case it was represented in the future) without making the via crucis?

p.s. I know that with version 2 of creo there were big bugs that should have solved with the 3... could it be related?

Hi.

As for the verification of solid geometry I usually create an offset plan for pleasure that intersects geometry and executes solidification (cut); to the varying position of the plan I can understand where geometry can give problems in export phase.
regarding errors due to the generation of the stl file, try to vary the segmentation values or act on “allow negative values”.
I remember that I had your problems with 2000i2 when using Moldovaflow but with creo2 and creo3 (use a 3d printer) always generated the file correctly.

Thank you very much, in the end I solved by changing the rope lengths.
on certain values it probably interferes because it finds ambiguous border zones, very close to common summits to multiple surfaces.
Trying to change the values eventually managed to do it, even if not at the maximum resolution but it's fine the same.

I will still experience your technique: Thank you very much.

from 2 to 3 is enough to open them in a manner classica..viceversa if there are commands that do not exist in the 2 idem!

Good morning, they ask me to export in stl format of the surfaces of creo parametric but if the prt model is composed only of surfaces in the saveas does not appear the stl format.

the stl format is born expressly for 3d printing and is the triangulation of a solid to be sent in print.
does not contemplate surfaces, as it is not possible to print an elemant that is not solid.

if you have only surfaces you can export them in many other ways (step, iges, etc.)

I'm trying to answer you.

you can export it to step/iges and resort to good freecad for the operation.
It is about opening it, selecting the imported geometry → export saves as → stl.
or under the working environment mesh → “crea mesh from a form” can be defined the desired tiling.
freecad with the mesh working environment can solve problems like:
development fabric coatingusing mesh surfaces first and then using “Mesh deployment” ma to keep in mind that the result is however approximate for the tiling/trianulation of the surface of origin.

thank you but I wanted to find a solution only creo.

reverse engineering allows to convert facet slt to surfaces and then solidify them.
thank you but I don't need to solidify. I've got to go through some stl surfaces to a simulation tool. but I create if they are only surfaces does not allow me to export to stl.

no software offers this possibility to my wisdom.
the opposite operation instead of facet to surface.
If you want to export surface to mesh that's another speech and I think it can be helpful with fem mode you can export mesh knots.
