problems with ram and pro-e wf4

work with a computer that has 4 gb of ram, with the task manager I see that windows xp pro exploits 3,4 gb.

opening a large set with pro-e wf4 when it comes to using 2.15 gb comes the message that the free ram is over and out, while the task manager still gives me about 1 gb available.

Is there anyone who can help me?

just add in the file c:\boot.ini the instruction

/3gb

in this way xp exploits all the ram that can (about 3gb)

I agree with maury_m. The only solution is 64bit.

It happened to me once I had to work on a huge set and to create planting altogether.... 4gb were necessary.

with the dani-3d magheggio I solved. I tried at a later time the same together on a 64bit system. all much more fluid.
sin that it is no longer possible to buy xp to 64bit.

with current projects, (steadycam and similar) the requested ram is much less so we opted for original xp licenses to 32bit and 2gb ram.
