can you tell me what it is and for what purpose it is always running?

for what little I know demons are programs run in the background and are launched by software or startup for system needs (door control, licenses or other), in the specific case on my pc is not running... may be that you have some setting (recording errors, vpm, conference, or other) that starts it.
