Bye to all,
I copied the profile of a linear guide by saving it in .sec.
When I imported it into a new file to extrude it, despite setting the 1:1 scale, I find differences between the orginal profile and the new one....

How come?
Is there a way to solve this?

Hi.

you just have to turn off the sketch manager otherwise some entities too close could align.

sketch> options tb constraints and disable everything!

However, I recommend that you bind the sections that you save to themselves with constraints and quotas blocked so that you have only 2 weak quotas that bind it to any reference.

In this way, you wouldn't have any problem with the active manager.

I hope I've been helpful.

Hi.

if you do not send any files will be difficult for anyone to understand what you want to get and especially where the error is.

Bye.

Hi.
attached a set with a section....
the blue guide is the original one I downloaded from the portal and from which I got the .sec. the grey guide, the longest I got from the .sec

If you see, with a good zummata, the two sections are not perfectly overlapping. . .

there is something wrong with what you do (or in the program configuration).
I got the sketch from the imported side, saved in .sec.
created a new part, in sketch phase I inserted the created sec previously and I have no problem.
managed to the first hit.

hi maxopus,
And what could I do so weird?
....can it be necessary to increase the setting of precision?

Bye!

I have your own problem, too. in particular, blocking the quotas and making "strong" the constraints, the zones of not perfect overlap concern the cylindrical surfaces of the spheres and the two lower grooves of the rail.

leaving the sketch "debole", instead, everything is perfectly superimposable.
