Good morning
I was asked to redesign a subbuteo ball to make it prototyping.
being a field unknown to me, I wanted to understand if my client asks too much, or is feasible.
the subbuteo ball must respect some characteristics that must be absolutely respected:
- weight 1.5grams
- external diameter 22mm
- non-excessive wrinkle (now I can't quantify it)
- "perfect" balance and nuance

First, the customer would choose the path of prototyping to make in a single piece the ball (empted inside), which until today is done in 3 half. Is that a feasible thing?

Is there a prototyping that could be done to my case?
Thank you.
Ettore

hi ettore, I see no one has answered you so far, so I try .

based on my experience it is impossible with current prototypal stratification techniques
.
the point that I feel to exclude with certainty is "perfect" balancing and nuance, which is already printed is difficult calibration, moreover with the 3d printing you would have a terrace effect even with the most precise machines.
Moreover the weight is based on the printed piece and the prototyping does not allow us to estimate with absolute precision the weight of the final product, you should go for attempts.

in any case if some colleagues believe it feasible will contact you

I agree with ipdesign, unfortunately the parameters required are really tight and directly through the technologies of rapid prototyping that I know would not be possible to respect them.
