prt composed of welding and placing at the table

Bye to all,
we have recently passed from wf2 to wf4.....
I have a problem with the table.
practical example: add a rib to an angle (I'm talking about parts and not assemblies).
when model of the nerves in welding compounds I always pay attention to leaving spaces of a couple of cents (0.02) between the contact faces of the welded pieces.
I do this because, at the table stage, the part does not have to look like a "fusion", but must show the lines of division between the various pieces.
Today I find that the spaces of 0.02 are not considered and the various extrusions are merged between them (both on the prt and on the respective drw).
to keep separate the various pieces I have to bring the quota from 0.02 to 0.15!
then I tried to overcome the problem by eliminating all the spaces and inserting cut features between the components....result even worse: I have to perform minimum thickness cut 0.3!
is a matter of sects, wf4 or what?
Can anyone enlighten me?

thanks1000:biggrin:

if there are no interference this should not happen, even if the part is 0 mm away! try to increase accuracy (absolute or relative) you probably have to do with very small dimensions compared to the others (thin and very large sheet). otherwise it controls global interference. I also sometimes design welded sheet structures, but usually give the measurements and theoretical positioning without games that I consider inserting appropriate processing tolerances.

I hope I've been helpful.

p.s. rereading your object seems to me to understand that you work only on a part level. In this case by default proe considers the part a whole I think you should work together.

Yes, in fact I have specified that I speak precisely of prt! :finger:
in the case welded complex (tubelar frames and/or large carpenters) work on assembly and I have no problems, but in the case of small welded (max 10 components) the customer prefers the single prt!:frown:

other ideas?

cmq thanks 1000!

I don't think it's a solution I can propose to the client... .
the prt I deliver must be manageable and if I make a merge I lose all the features!
