I wanted to ask you if it is possible to rent for a fixed period (1, 2 months) a solid edge v19 license.
I explain better, in these days I have proposed to realize works with solid edge v19 (modelling 3d and tabled) and I am evaluating (if possible) have the possibility to rent a solid-edge license to do these works.

I know that I asked if I could "give" my license for a year to a client and I was told yes, but honestly I never deepened.

Consider that the licenses from v19 onwards are related to the hardware on which they were calculated and do not work on a different pc, so moving the license requires a new one to be generated with communication to the siemens of the new hardware.

It is a life I personally hope you can rent cad 2d or 3d licenses, when a customer requires you to perform a job.
in his time he spoke of it, then inevitably venting into discussions and polemics; as usual who sells cad would never dream of being able to introduce a rental formula, or license in time, software or purchase them or nothing. It is clear, to learn how to use a cad you have to attend courses, pay assistance, receive updates etc... but we do not realize that now you buy tutorials on ebay , at the university students already go out with a training that allows them to be operational in the working field etc..., then ending your question has only a defect.....show that you are too far ahead, certain environments go very slowly.

I remember that on it.comp.software.cad a person from the cesena engineering had talked about the possibility of renting solid edge, but it is a very old discussion, if it has not passed ten years little we miss.

I'm probably going to be lynched as far as I'm about to say, but you may have misapproached.

Call any dealer and tell him to want to buy solid edge in case a successful collaboration relationship goes well.

to verify what you want to do a project first. Therefore, maybe you offer to pay installation and configuration of the product and, between two or three months at the end of the demo you resent for the purchase. :biggrin:

note well: siemens retailers, if authorized retailers, can generate temporary keys.
