quotation not parallel references

I want to quote a planimetry:
> 'aligned' quota
> click on blue line
> click on the edge of the building
> click in an empty space.
this should be the right procedure, in fact the quota 3.57 appears.
Good! 0ra we also share the other distance with the blue line, we repeat the operation:
'aligned' share
> click on the blue line (the above)
> click on the edge of the building
> click in a blank space
......????? ? impossible to create the quota. are not parallel to the first selection?? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? . . . .

....but I don't want to mention two parallel references, what's the right procedure?

click on the edge of the building and tab key at the intersection of the two blue lines to take the end as reference

because I needed the quota to be perpendicular to the border, that is the blue lines of the image, I had to do the opposite: first the line and then the tab for 11volte before highlighting a blue ball that indicated the edge between the walls.

I am not practical in the quotation in revit, but I ask: is it normal to click many times before finding a point?
this amazes me as in autocad (although it is another program) it seems to me that doing this is much faster.

autocad does not have above inside and outside etc. :wink:
