quote autocad design only in inches and not feet+inch

Good morning to all,
They are in the states and I have just begun to collaborate with a study.
I need to quote details of a kitchen and bathroom (we are talking about a scale 1/2" = 1'-0"). I need to send the drawings to the carpenter with directions only in inches but autocad automatically once reached the 12" automatically converts the number in 1' instead of continuing the count in in inches (e.g. in a 18" inch spacer the quota reports 1'-6").

I urgently need to find a solution to this problem, I spent a few hours between forums and handing out autocad but I couldn't get a spider out of the hole!!
