Excuse me, can I ask a stupid question? ?
I imported a .igs file in solidworks, this design contains some fittings that I would like to change, but there are no functions in the drawing tree (such as extrusions, fittings, extruded cut etc.) I believe that this is due to the fact that importing it from igs, see the solid as a set of surfaces, without recognizing the various functions.
is it not possible in any way to make him recognize the functions so as to change them easily?

is full of discussions about it (you tried the function research?) and also know the stones that with the "neutral forms of interchange" you lose all the history of the model.
with featurworks something recognizes (or better does not recognize, because information is not there, but "intuits" as you could build), at least the simpler functions (especially revolutions, some extrusion etc. if there are complex forms serve little). better yet if the cad of origin was the same, and better the parasolids and step.
if the "recognition" is done by chance, not exactly with the same functions used for the original modeling (if you have made a cylinder with an extrusion "he" always prefers to solve it with a revolution. a parallelepiped perhaps is extruded not from the same face of origin and creating "random" plans. and everything remains without quotas with all undefined sketches.
