maybe max meant zebra strips. where there are live edges you should see discontinuities. where there is continuous g0 (or g1?) you should see sudden changes of slope (but it's not exactly my sector).

the important fact is to exclude roundings from the research because otherwise the tangent edges proe sees them as edges and distorts your search. .
