hi to everyone I wanted to know if with solidworks I can scan a piece and then import it as jpg and recalculate it. . .

Surely you can do this if you have the .dwg (autocad) while with an image file I don't know exactly!
 
I usually put them on autocad and then put them in as a sketch on sw.
