rectangle beveled offset

I have a problem with autocad 2008.
with rectangle design tool a rectangle of 50x40 and fitting in the 4 sides with radius 2.
then I go to make a 2mm offset to the inside but the offset rectangle is not blurred by radius 2?! ! .
Is there any setting to set? Where am I wrong?

Where are you wrong?

in math!!!!

If at a radius 2, do an offset of 2 what radius you get?

I repeat the question perhaps easier:

if you make an offset of a circle 2 of 2 within which circle you get?

I couldn't understand why setting a radius 2 of connection didn't seem to be blurred even the inner rectangle.
