hello to all and thank you in advance for the answers.. .
I searched in the forum but with little results, then I submit my problem that is probably trivial solution.

1- ansys apdl
2- a 3d shaft cable with a given external profile already meshato

The problem arises in applying constraints, since my desire is to simulate the tree as if it were a simple beam of de sait-venant.

how can I then bind the mating surface between shaft and bearings, so that rough compared to a point on the axis?

on the workbench I found the solution with the remote displacement setting the location of the bond, but on the apdl how do you do it?

do you want the bearings rigid or deformable?
If you're all right, you can create a "rigid region" with a pilot knot on the axis of your tree.
do this as long as you put the constraints only on the knot.
If you want it deformable you should copy what workbench does. in the solution, workbench writes a ds.dat file that contains at first the list of nodes and elements of the model, and then the definitions of the material, the constraints etc. just find the lines that refer to the remote displacement and the game is done: copy-paste with few changes.
the remore displacement makes use of the "multi point constraint", ie of the elements mpc184.

Thanks for the stefano answer.
I tried the cerig and managed to rigidly bind the surface to its center of rotation on a knot that I manually entered on the axis and appropriately bound. But when I go in solution it tells me that the constraint equations have an unused knot that corresponds to what I entered.

to solve I put a pipe16 element between the "master" node and another node any close them always on the axis. in this way the solution comes out and also seems quite consistent.

I wonder whether it is the correct procedure or whether there is a simpler way to solve the problem.

Thanks again
