removal of roof layer

I have to cut out a piece of a two-phalus roof with a central flap, and I can't do it by modifying the profile in the plant as it moves the helmet at the end of the section of a striped layer, so I thought I'd cut a piece with an empty extrusion but I can't find the old command "modelling-extrusion-e-emption".

Excuse ignorance, but this command where I find it?

"to create a union of solids or voids

in the family editor, click the tab creates group forms and perform one of the following:
click the solid drop down menu and choose extrusion.
click the empty drop-down menu and choose extrusion.
Note: If necessary, set the worktop before drawing the extrusion. click on the tab create group work plan and choose set"

If I open the family editor, the template appears to me, so I can only create a family using the schemes already prepared and I can't find the "group forms".

start>componete> local model, choose the category (e.g. generic model) the checks a name, evuoto> extrusion. help with the refererment plans for creation.
perhaps create the roof from extrusion instead of from perimeter can be less laborious:finger:
