Good morning to all

My name is stefano and I would like to ask you some advice to you that you are definitely more experienced than me!!!
At work I should do animations like this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdg6hwpou80&feature=youtu.bereading on the net I see that these types of animations are made with 3ds max design, specific that I use solidworks and animations that give me solidworks are not appreciated because it is scarce and then it seems very complex to realize animations (from my point of view)

you can recommend some software to try

Thank you very much.

Hi.

Of course with 3ds max all this is possible but x a similar animation serve months of study. do not think you are faced with a simple and immediate software

with 3ds too complex. take a look at keyshot, has a animation module much easier to use with which you can simulate a mounting. qui find some tutorials.
maybe even with showcase it is possible to do this, but I'm not sure.

Do you have any idea where you can find a tutorial or guide, to start taking home?
Thank you.

Well... given the experience you'd say you're ambitious if you want to do what I saw without using "complex streets" (as you call them!)
You have the interest of wanting to.. but don't expect such results in no time. .

cmq if you are interested you can also think about cinema.. maybe associated with something like maxwell..
even if I think that is an animation generated by a "parametric" cad at a glance. .

another product well integrated with swx you could see is luxology 701 way. has an import/export tool to and from the cads and should be enough. I agree with who told you that such a video requires experience.

thanks guys I try, I trust directly on 3ds, I saw that there are 2 versions max 3ds and 3ds max design, you know what differences are there?

Very few. 3ds max is programmable, 3ds max design is not but has an illuminotechnical analysis module that the simple 3ds max does not have. that's all...

I agree with tristan if it also refers to the work of modeling and learning.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxylktibofs&feature=youtu.bethis animation with c4d was performed in about three hours.
to make frames and assemble them around a day.
to model with sw and export to c4d about six days.
c4d learning is another thing, you never end up learning.
if you can interest and place two or three pieces to assemble I send you the c4d r12 file with animation, then you repeat it for the other pieces.

car bag is beautiful that video!!! Just what I was looking for.. .
ok I attach a zip file with a set, you don't need to do the animation of all the parts, I just need 2-3 to understand! ! !

Thank you very kind!!! :36_1_11:

Forgive me! !

I saved your files in stl I imported them into 4d cinema, built the "linear" animation you find in the folder.
Since there is the piston motion controlled by the shaft I inserted the "alternated" file that is a little more difficult.
"alternated" file as you open, you will find a window with handles to align the piston motion.

Hello.
I am beginning to study the chapter of animations and I would already have some questions, of which I did not find answer looking on the web.
I have a part of which I would like to show an overview with a simple orbit around it. of this part I created a second configuration (a section cut). during the animation I would like to show the passage from one configuration to another but I have not yet succeeded.
at the moment I solved by creating a set consisting of two of these parts, one for each configuration, and overlapping. during the animation simply "spengo" the unseated part.

for the orbit you can use the image command.
the "spengo" action is useful in some scenes in others you can use other simpler.
If you care, I can help you, but you should be more precise.
Hello, Antonio.

protests simply clip the view by animating the camera section plans.
I don't understand what you mean, would you be able to make a more precise example? I believe I have understood that you want to animate the section plans, which is not a bad idea, however, for more complex jobs, I would like to have the possibility to switch from one configuration to another

@antosacca
I use solidworks 2013, the image you have attached refers to 4d cinema?

I have attached the two files, part and together

thanks:biggrin:
