Something strange is happening to me. Recently when I take a render on a table or amount an image, I find the altered colors, mainly the yellow, orange and red, in the various shades, they turn to blue/green, making it impossible to use them.
the renders made with revit 2012, have the colors I assigned to the materials, so nothing abnormal, but once calculated and archived, when I call them to use them, they appear with the altered colors. same thing for pictures. This makes me a big problem because I have to deliver the material for a contest but so I cannot present any renders.
I hope someone can explain to me what happens and how to remedy it.

I have enough experience with rendering and printing, so I allow myself a question: are you sure it is not a screen problem?
each screen shows the colors differently based on the color rgb (blue green rock) and on the technology at the base of the screen itself (ips, tn, lcd and so on). the same image opened on the PC screen and on that of your smartphone will show different colors! Moreover, in the printing phase, 90% of the plotters or of the classic printers use the encoding of the cmyk color (cian magenta black yellow). I think you should be careful when saving the file, following the rendering phase, and try to select the color profile that best suits your needs!

In fact, switching from warm to cold shades is a bit excessive as aberration, I had not read the erik post thoroughly. But I assure you that by saving the same image with different color profiles you get images with visibly different colors, on the same screen!

I don't think it's a matter of screen as premium of saving the image of the rendering, the view I see with the colors which I assigned them or what are those of the materials in archive. the problem arises when I call the render to paste it on the table that maybe, contains other project views. Consider that I use the same screen also for photo editing work and I have never presented similar problems, the colors of the photos are the same both on the screen and in the print.
Will the program grow old?

to me happens (for example in photoshop) that when I open an image asks me whether to use the color space embedded in the image or the standard photoshop work color space.
if I say I use the color space of the image all ok, if I tell him to use the standard color space of photoshop I get turned (exactly with that feeling of aging you talk about in the last post)

Sorry I'm late. It does not seem to me that with revit they are space-color calibrations. I use fast stone for the management of the photo arch and for the first touches and gimp for a more important photo editing, but I have never encountered problems with colors. those on the screen correspond, to 90%, to those printed.

It seems to me to remember that it was a problem of revit (with the current versions I do not know), as exporting images, (saving them externally to revit) and then bringing them back to revit, they lost quality (the definition of colors did not remain the same).
the solution was to copy the internal image from revit files to a revit file b

Gfrank, hi. the images I save them in the project as I always did, carrying them in the rendering folder, but when I reopen the same image, just saved, this appears to me with the altered colors. I tried to make a render even using a 3d in the example project, rac_advanced_sample_project, which is loaded when installing revit and I got the same result.

I had similar issues with buildingus renderings, but it was a video card problem.
