rendering tool

I hope to insert the discussion in the correct section.

I created a part and a simply in catia v5 r20 and I have to make a rendering with a photo as background.
When I click on rendu though I always have the same error "rendererr_0013 translation geometry failed". Unfortunately looking on the internet I found nothing about it.

the strange thing is that if I open a new project and do not create anything, if I click on rendu it does not give me error and the rendering is completed (of course I do not need because there is my overlapping part).

I hope you can help me.

I admit I'm completely ignorant of rendering so don't offend you if my question will seem "simpliciotta", but you have verified this problem even by inserting, instead of your, other "simple" parts like 1 screw or similar? is not that the geometry of which you want to make rendering is like "bucata" somewhere and can't render any surface that "disfuges" .

Hello and thank you for the answer.
I finally realized it's a problem of my caty version.
is the academic version and despite the rendering plugins installed it does not work.
tried with a standard version and it works perfectly

Apparently. Everything else works. I also use abaqus on the same pc and I have no problems
