Since I forgot to load the parts, today to simplify and clarify the situation I inserted all the components of the fan.
summing up:
the fan supplier gives us the 3d of the axieme (in any format, even parasolid or iges does not matter) along with its 2d design.
we do not care to insert a fan in our cooler as a whole, on the other hand to be able to insert in our management (sap) a code of our production, we are forced to insert all its components (i.e. also the fan). if the fan is inserted as a whole we must also insert its components (mode, blades, screw etc). instead if the fan is a part simplify our work doing only a 3d and 2d.
and that is why we are sometimes forced to use the design of the supplier (simplifying it) and saving its assembly (fan) as a part.

save it as part by selecting the option "external components".
open the newly created part, ignore the msg of recognition functions, and click on "create together on the side", save the new together.
open from "file" the design that contains the original fan, click down on "references" and select the newly created assembly file.
will open the design with the new set.
Unfortunately it is not possible to do this last operation between different file types, you can replace a part with another part but not a part with a set or vice versa.
If you still have doubts ask.

your certainly that is an innovative idea and would solve in a certain way my problem (especially if you support it and composed of many elements).
But... In any case I would have two new components (to be codified) to be inserted in the management system -sap-.
something not so beautiful as we order only one code (fan/fan).
This would result in an extra code that will never be used (I would call it a garbage code).
