coming to your problem a possible solution could be to create a set in which to insert the pump and another empty part that you will need to model ad hoc.
to shape this part does not exist a unique way, you can operate in various ways. you can capture the internal surfaces of the body and then stop them and create a solid. At this point you will have to subtract with the cavity command the other internal objects you want to remove from the volume.

you probably don't have it in the toolbar icons "functions" but you can customize it by adding it. You can still find it in the menus: insert/function/cavity.

However, I am doubtful that maybe the icon does not find it because, in the axieme, you did not change the part where you created the cavity, so you lack all the menus related to the parts.. .
