reproduce contour of a lake

Bye to all,
I'm doing a place on the lake major and as far as the lights I'd like to do a little weird work... but I don't know how to do it. Let's see who can help me. .

the idea is to draw the Lagomaggiore on the ceiling as if it was a sort of map where the various spots are the most known cities (verbania arona etc.) on the lakefront .
I have downloaded a map, now I don't know how to bring it back to cad, or better how to rebuild the lake plant
